Bought this amp for my son, I am a drummer, so I really don't know much about amps, but my 24 yr old son went nuts over it! He has a Epiphone Les Paul, and he loves all the features and bells and whistles, and have to admit that he sounds great on it. Good buy....

This is probably a decent amp, as long as you are willing to hire a PhD from MIT to try and program it for you. The user manual, which comes on a CD is 388 pages long. The company has gone totally nuts with options and things that can be selected and programmed, but have ignored the need of most players to turn on an amp and play.

It may be electronically OK, but largely impossible to use. No manual included -- its a 308 page down load which requires a PhD from MIT to understand. If you do get it programmed so that you like it, all of the programming disappears when you turn it off and you need to start all over next time you use it. Buy an amp with real knobs and avoid this technological disaster.

I'm kinda a guitar novice and wanted this amp for its versatility, and so far I'm very happy with it. The sound is very good and the effects make my guitar sound really cool. Don't have enough technical know-how to comment further, but I'm a happy camper with the product.

While it's true that the manual is not an easy thing to understand, there are many youtube videos to help you through the learning process. It's how I figured it out. It is, in fact, a great piece of equipment and I have to say I don't feel at all taken or ripped off. Plus, I am not a guitar player but I run my Yamaha DTX kit through two of them and my drums sound very good indeed. Check the web and you'll find everything from how-to to effects loops, samples
