The steps are excellent value for money. Even though they feel rather flimsy, they are well put together, relative easy to use and fold down well for storage. A bit cumbersome if like us you need to travel with the steps when taking the dogs for a walk as we have to put them in the back of the car. We have two large dogs, weighing just under 30 kilo, and they took a little persuading to use them, as they used to just leap into the back of the estate car. Now getting older they are unable to do so. However gentle encouragement and of course bribery buttons they're happy to walk into the car. They work for us and the dogs.

This product is very well built, quite solid and heavy, which is what I wanted. My dog uses it (after a little encouragement) and has no problems when it is setup as steps. The problem arises when it's a ramp, the material covering the steps is like soft felt. And as such is very slippy, my dog slid off a few times. The only other comment is that if your dog jumps onto the steps they may good down and there is nothing to lock them in place. Overall I am pleased with them and happy with my purchase, I just wish they were covered with something less slippy than felt.

Having spent a lot of money on a ramp which our dog refused to use we turned to these steps bearing in mind that he is familiar with going upstairs in the house and they have proved to be an excellent purchase. They are very light and reasonably sturdy but the important thing is that he is happy to use them. In fact doggy friends of ours have also bought the same item for their four legged friends and have been equally impressed.

This is good to use as steps, a little steep as a ramp. useful for old dogs or those with back problems. Initial problem with getting a screw out to convert into the steps but all sorted.

This is actually a nice product, but is let down by the steep angle when ramp is in use. We have a Dachshund and so try to discourage him for going up too many steps. But for his size, the ramp is quite daunting and he will not use it. The steps are fine, but because of the type of dog he is I would rather not use them. Our whippet will also not entertain the ramp, but she can get on sofas without the help. What I have done is remove the legs and modify them so that the ramp is at a shallower angle but does not reach quite so high. As a compromise it's OK but necessitated me redesigning the catch to hold it open. It also means that (partly) the benefit is defeated as I leaves a step at the top of the ramp due to I being lower, although in fairness it's not a large step and we can all live with it.Read full review
