It does what it's supposed to do. It's a footswitch. It's a shame that Fender makes you pay extra for the footswitch. They should just include it with the amp. At least Fender gives you a cable when you buy the footswitch. It's not a great cable, but it does the job. The footswitch is quiet and comfortable. Built like a tank; you could use it for self-defense if you had to. What's really great about the footswitch, and is a strong testament to Fender's commitment to excellence, is that the button on the left side of the footswitch controls the channel on the left side of the amp, and the button on the right controls the channel on the right. Sure, you can look at the product after the fact and state that the design is obvious, but you're overlooking the countless agonizing hours of R&D. They could have oriented the buttons vertically. They could have used three buttons. They could have used just one button. Of course, zero buttons would not have worked, but you can bet that they spitballed the idea and ran some mock-ups, just to confirm.Read full review
