Desperate to get my very weak nails done in lockdown as they were peeling and breaking. Saw this kit and for the price ( as much as one set of nails in the salon) I thought I'd give it a go. Package arrived and a good size set of products. I'd done my research, reading reviews, watching how to vids on YouTube. The kit also comes with pretty clear instructions. I will say take your time and prepare well, constant interruptions won't help. Make sure you have files and buffers and I used an acetone nail polish remover to clean my nails after tidying up the cuticle. I don't have extentions so it would just be onto my natural nails. I took my time and added three separate coats of dipping powder inbetween the coats of resin. I did my right hand first ( I'm right handed and wanted to see how tough it would be to get a decent finish). All in all it took me about an hour and 45 minutes. That included finishing off with a couple of coats of nail polish and a top coat. Two weeks later I've just changed the nail polish colour, I used an acetone free remover) . Underneath the dipping coat is still in great condition, no chips on the edges. There is a slight lifting on a couple of nails near the cuticle but that's not a problem for me, I'll be having ago at in filling them next week so expect to deal with that then. I will invest in the proper primer/ cleaner in future. Overall a great little kit. I've used the Rio quick dip kit from argos before and this is so much better and easier to use. The resin is thinner, the powder finer so overall you get a more natural, smoother finish. I will definitely keep using this and expect my results to get better over time. The photo was taken 2 weeks after original application when I changed the polish colour.Read full review

i am a trained nail technician but not working as one, i have been using different products and systems for 16 years. i recently decided to try dipping powder and liquid, i have been using a cheaper version which is good but not perfectly clear, which i want. i always use the edge resin, which i like, so i decided to try the full thing. although it is a little clearer, it lifts and has done since the 3rd day, which the other didn't so i will be going back to that as it's cheaper and i find it better

I've never used acrylic dipping powder before so thought I would buy a cheaper starter kit. It works so well, so easy, quick and simple. I was impatient so I used it before my primer arrived in the post but the nails are on and haven't cracked or anything even without primer. So far so good, they look and feel strong. So easy to shape as when dipping they don't end up to bulky like normal acrylic application, so you don't have to file down a lot. I think if you follow the instructions given, make sure your nails are cut down but not too short, if you haven't got any primer just use varnish remover to get rid of any oils on your nail before applying and you will get a good enough result!

I've tried to do my own acrylic nails with a brush and powder, you know how it goes, one hand is perfect and the other... not so much. This system is So Much Easier. I bought it after having dip acrylic and tips put on at a salon; it was the first time I'd seen dip acrylic and I figured I'd be able to DIY for the infils. The instructions with the product are easy to follow. Between those and a few YouTube videos on dip acrylic infils I was ready to rock. I use this acrylic on my natural nails as an overlay which allows them to grow longer, so no need for tips. My nails are rock solid and there's very little lift. I use UV gel over the top for colour, and I think this helps with the lack of lift.

Used over short tips and as natural overlay over low breaks. Haven't dipped directly for hygiene reasons and I thought pouring would leave lots of product waste. However, I used 2 triangle gem trays instead and there was minimal waste after each use. Easy to apply and build apex. So far its lasted well.
