I bought this DVD as a present for my niece and nephew, but decided to watch it as well. It's a very gentle film. It's a nice film to look at - Sherwood forest, the creepy castle, and the characters. I think my favourite is Prince John, rather pathetic, cunning, twisted. I feel sorry for Sir Hiss, who is often a victim of Prince John's temper. Robin Hood is effortlessly charming and sincere. I watched the film on my computer monitor, which I've tried to set up as accurately as possible. The film looks very good in full-frame (4:3 aspect ratio). I appreciated how the animators used colour to create atmosphere. This comes over well on the DVD.
