Have used this stand with a 115 Makita grinder. First used it as a mini chop saw on wooden dowel and beading, worked very well but thicker material required two cuts but this is bearly visible on finished material owing to solid clamp and mount. Also cut angle iron and steel rod; again precise cuts done safely and quickly. Did not expect much from this product but it has already proven its worth. I am very pleased.

This tool has limitations which could have been ironed out at design time, but as with all things of this nature, it is pretty basic. With any cut that is made, the limiting factor is the width of the cut at the tool bed and this in turn depends on the size of blade. 115mm gives a width of 8 cm with a right angle cut. The depth also has a limitation as the angle grinder head will be stopped either by the work piece or the vice, which in turn will limit the width of the work piece. A taller piece of work will reduce the width that can be cut. The 8 cm is taken when the grinder hits the top of the vice. The greatest limitation comes into play because the tool bed is not long enough. When an angle is required, this would go down to 4cm at 45 degrees, if the bed allowed the piece to be secured in its vice. However At 45 degrees this is reduced to roughly a 3cm width work piece, because the front to back bed distance is not great enough for the work piece to be centred to the middle of the blade being used. The only way around this is to have a grinder that allows a bigger sized tool. Is it decent is down to what you need it for. Cutting narrow tube or box section at a right angle, its great, but if you want to cut any more than slight angle on something as wide, then its not the tool for you.Read full review

Aluminium castings with base, hinged tool holder and arms which allow many different grinders to be mounted. I used a deWalt battery unit, and it worked well. There is a small vice to hold parts for cutting, but don't expect the equivalent of a 6" bench vice. It's really just a back stop. The range of movement is restricted by the nose of the grinder hitting the vice, so a dozen cuts through 1/4" dia mild steel was all it could do before failing to cut right through. A 5" grinder would have worked for longer before the disc was worn down. All in all, a useful gadget to aid clean cuts through small sections.

This is a moderately well made stand that is useful to a degree... my gripe with it is that the tolerance of the hinge mechanism is too great, so there is play in the arm when you bring the disc cutter down. Setting it up is fiddly, I feel it is only suitable for moderately accurate cuts as it is so difficult to ensure the cut is vertical as it rocks when pressure is applied to the pivot. For the price adequate, but it is let down by that one issue.

Wolfcraft Angle Grinder Stand Is made of a strong aluminum alloy and allows clamping a small angle grinder with a disc diameter of 115 mm and 125 mm. The use of the stand allows the cutting of pipes, profiles, strips of metal and other materials at a right angle and with a slope of up to 45 °, quickly and accurately, depending on the grinding wheel used. Maximum size of cut material (pipes) about 20 mm
