For simple hemming, patch sewing duties it’s fine. Getting used to how it works was the hardest part. If you have previous sewing machine practice you will probably be fine. So as a small portable sewing it’s great but it did take me about half a day to understand the machine because the instructions were not well written. The user needs to understand how to thread the top, the bottom and how to get the tension right. I found Youtube searches better than trying to understand the manual. Theres probably some bells and whistles other more costly machines have over this but for simple repairs it’s great.

Thought it was gonna be bigger, it has a tension thing that is making it hard for me to thread the thread, so I can not use it tried to loosen it my thread won't go through the material which is the test strip that came with it, tightened it broke my thread. It has been a terrible ordeal and I brought it to make a small garment for my A level work and now I am unable to make it so that is going to knock a grade or two of my A level results so I am quite upset and annoyed. I hate complaining but this is not what I expected when I ordered it

Just what I wanted, a small sewing machine that is easy to use. no fancy stiches just very basic. Great fun ! easier hand sewing. and quicker. but do read the instruction before use

Unfortunately this item is no use to me as my hands suffer from Hoffmans. However, It is very light weight and yet very sturdy. I was even able to open the packaging without decimating it.I would recommend this little machine to anyone who has full use of their hands.

I bought this as I needed to do a few bits and pieces of sewing as part of a project. I didn't expect much from this machine, just a lowest cost try, to see if I could do what I wanted. When it arrived, it's small, and looked more like a toy one, but it has far exceeded my expectations (as have I...) So once you work out that it has to have batteries all the time, and that the foot pedal only works when the mains adaptor is plugged in, and worked out the threading (not so hard), how does it work? Better than you might have hoped I think. You press the button, it runs pretty slowly, which is a bonus when you have no idea what you're doing, and it sews stuff together. What is there to complain about? Well battery life is pretty short, but as this is saving me a lot of money and time overall, a couple of sets of batteries isn't a big deal. Accept its limitations, and it will serve you well. For the money, its an absolute bargain. I'm glad I bought this.Read full review
