This pedal sounds great with my acoustic guitar! The frequencies can be adjusted to the tone you desire & the tone that matches with your amp. If your acoustic guitar & amp has an equalizer, set everything to 12 o’clock position & use this pedal to make the equalization to the tone you desire & you’ll be amazed how clean & good it sounds. Turn the pad & ground lift on to help reduce unwanted feedback. The casing may be plastic but it’s hard plastic & it doesn’t squeak nor does it feel flimsy. In fact it does have a feel of a solid weight. The foot switch is tight & doesn’t produce extraneous noise. The knobs are solid without any unwanted lateral movements when you turn it just because its case is plastic. The power supply is compatible in voltage & polarity with any pedal you have. The base has a solid rubber that doesn’t run all over the place due to vibrations if you let it stand alone outside your pedal board. Lastly, it’s Behringer! It’s a respectable brand that makes quality products at an affordable price. I’ve owned several pedals from different brands & like I said, this one has a fantastic tone-adjustable sound. You can never go wrong with it!Read full review

You can spend hundreds of dollars on a preamp/EQ/DI box, and probably get more features and higher quality audio. Certainly for professionals, that may be justified. For those of us who are amateurs, though, this is a very reasonable unit. It gets the job done, it doesn't cost a month's pay, and is easy to use. I'm a long time musician, but not a pro. I don't play high sound volume stuff, but rather folk and jazz with small combos and in small spaces. This unit does what I need to get an acoustic guitar or mandolin with a piezo pickup to feed an amp or mixer. Quarter inch guitar cable input, choice of XLR or quarter inch output. Three band equalizer has an adjustable center frequency for the midtone range. Allows quick switch between preamp and straight DI modes, has a ground lift switch to stop ground loops, and a PAD off switch to prevent clipping and overloads with high powered amps. Everything seems t work as designed. It does require a 9 volt battery or a separate AC adapter, though. Unlike those expensive professional units, this one does not run off the phantom power supplied through the XLR cable. Sturdy construction with enough weight to it that it can be used as a pedal switch to cut the preamp on and off. Overall, a lot of features and value at a very low price.Read full review

Behringer products are always a great value. Good clean sound with a nice array of features usually only found in more expensive products. This DI has everything you need (level control, eq, etc.) for an extremely affordable prive. Highly recommend.

Great value at a great price. Really cleans and boosts the signal to my PA. Can't beat the price and I myself don't recommend stomping on the button. But, I set it on the small stand with my music and push the button with my hand being it's not a heavy duty plastic button. I run it with an AC adapter also that I found on eBay.
