I have been searching everywhere in my city for membrane hooks, as I have to lay down a membrane for my courtyard for three reasons. First, the weeds. My property was built and filled with what came from the nearby canal dredging, which has been a serious problem that most have given up. I refuse to use chemicals intended to kill the weeds because of a very serious problem: Colony Collapse Syndrome with our Bees. If you use those products stop it now. No bees. No food. The second reason is for two reasons: my pets. Evidently my composting and reinvigorating the soil has created an exciting opportunity for my cats to turn my garden into a litterbox. I can lay down a great membrane but without strong hooks, the cats will tear up the membrane and continue to give me problems. The third reason is my covering for my membrane, which is 750kg of slate that matches some of the colours of the brick walls that surround my courtyard. It is imperative that you use strong hooks for the membrane because the weight will place some pressure on the membrane, and in one rather low-light area I have created an elevated location for a wide variety of ferns and two acers that I will be training as a central focus with a similar style of a bonzai. This is going to require occasional boosts of compost, so these hooks will help me help the ferns and Acers for a healthy and happy garden. I highly recommend these hooks because they're strong at a great price. My local shops sell only a few hooks of a low quality for the money I spent, and I didn't want to travel and discover that they were out of stock. I purchased more than I need because there are times when another plant might interest you, and that means cutting into the membrane or completely removing the old and replacing it with some new. This is why I'm sticking with these. I recommend these because I'm very demanding when it comes to my garden and these hooks have won my recommendation.Read full review

These did the job, holding down the weed suppressor fine. they are also useful for keeping the round wire netting to protect my plants from the rabbits in place when it is windy. they are strong and long enough. we have yet to see if they rust. They shouldn't as they are galvanised unlike some others I bought which were not and they rusted in the ground. Happy at present.
