My boiler has been wrecked by sparrows entering the flue and nesting inside the ... My boiler has been wrecked by sparrows entering the flue and nesting inside the boiler. This cage was easy to fit, even though it was located 25’ up an outside wall. Three holes are drilled to fit, using screws and penny washers. It seems a bit large for the small flue pipe; but this was the smallest cage I could find. I just wished the original central heating engineer had fitted one in the first place.
