An excellent eBayer. The item was faulty but even though I was out of the return time envelope Crazy Clearances paid for the return postage and sent me a replacement DVD / VCR player and remote control that is of a higher quality than the defective player. I would have no hesitation in dealing with Crazy Clearances again and they come with the highest recommendations.

Not sure why I bought this old tat in the first place...It worked OK for about an hour in total spread over 2 weeks and then Kaput.

I had thrown out all my old VCR's thinking that the way to go was PVR but then realised that PVR's do not work like VCR's so as I am a Satellite Feedhunter I needed a VCR to be continously running while I scanned the skies! What attracted me to this model is that it has a very shallow depth only 20cm so it fitted on to an exisitng shelf. The DVD was a bonus. So far its performance is fine. A good compact combo
Purchased this item for a relative who relied on her VCR to record programmes from freeview built in her tv and to watch dvd's and videos. Her current machine broke down,so when i saw this item, being Philips i had to bid for it. What a bargain, was not sure if it could record freeview as said analogue, but it will. At the back of the unit it has two scart sockets and if your tv has two scart sockets,as long as you put one scart lead from av1/tv to av1 and the other scart lead from av2/ext to av2,then go into VCR menu and turn on the decoder that is automatically off, then presto it works. The unit itself is smart to look at and easy to use. There is also back up from technicians if you phone Philips.
