I wanted a MAPP or Propane torch with hose that really puts out heat as I was interested in seeing if I could braze with it. I have oxy-acetylene equipment but cost me $72.00 each time I rent cylinders of acetylene, oxygen, and nitrogen. I do some small work on refrigerators and the big stuff is a waste of money as the biggest copper is 3/8". Tried today with propane and 3/8" copper to copper and it worked beautifully! 3/8" or under is no problem with this torch on propane using 15% sil-fos. I had some 7/8" available and there is no way it brazes that. I couldn't even get a glow on it. The torch lights right up and the flame is adjustable so even soft solder is easy done. I'm very happy with this torch and will use it on all of my small copper tubing braze/solder joints.

Torch works fine, but the whole package is clumsy, clunky, and unbalanced. A tank holder that actually secures the tank and doesn't slip off More flexible hose Torch holder is clumsy, hose coils every which way

this torch is a gas saver and much safer then a torch that stays lite until you turn the gas off on when you need it off when you don't need it and you can get into much tighter spaces

Powerful & easy to operate but not good for small precise operations if you’re unskilled at soldering. Quality product. The case for the gas is wobbly so you need to secure it somehow. I hang it on a hook by the metal handle.

I have loved this for pinpoint soldering and also using it to start Lump Charcoal in my Big Green Egg Grill.
