This item slotted into my old Dell D820 laptop with no issues (I did a clean install of Win8.1 64bit onto it). Generally 6 x faster than the old Hitachi 5400 rpm hard drive that was originally installed .

If you are thinking about changing over to an SSD card think no longer this is a brilliant item and your computer will be oh so much faster. Will not disappoint you. Crucial is a good make too.
Altogether excellent! This is SATA3 & replaced a Vertex 120GB SATA2 SSD, it over doubled the speed.
Amazing drive! Really really fast. Much faster than the sandforce based drives which fail to perform with incompressible data. Also at £120 for 256GB I don't see any point to buy mechanical drives any more. Get one and it will be the best single upgrade that you have ever done to a PC. Recommended.
