    Great alternative to ratchet straps

    I was looking for an alternative to ratchet straps as they tend to be to big and bulky and also fiddly. These are great for what I need as they roll up to nothing so take up no space in my van. They can be used for tying things down on a trailer, roof rack or in the back of my van. These were great value for money and a throwaway price when they are worn excellent product for a cheap make.

    The jury is out

    These tie-downs arrived quickly, with a good metal buckle and were immediately functional in every way. My only reservation has to do with the fact that the webbing is the thinnest I have ever encountered in a product like this. It may well be that improvements in technology have allowed for these lighter materials with no loss in functionality. Right out of the box, this appears to be the case. They are undeniably strong enough. Still, they are so incredibly thin, that I have to wonder how long they will last. It seems likely that they will not have the 20 year life span I have come to expect, but I could be wrong. Unfortunately, only time will tell. If you don't need them to last very long. I recommend them unreservedly.

    Long and strong

    They do exactly what they are supposed to. I bought the 8 pack so I have 4 in my car to tie down items to the roof rack. The other 4 I have as two pairs on each of our bikes. A little too long for bicycles really, but you get a few good turns on to hold your stuff down.

    Good strong product

    Good quality long straps the metal securing part feels well made the spring securing the straps does the job nicely. Although the straps are not designed for heavy loads they are great for securing a vast range of items for quick and easy access.
