Exercising a dog's brain is as important as physical exercise for a happy, healthy pet. The 'Trixie Dog Puppy Training Reward Interactive Game Toy' is a really good product to stimulate brain activity as it has three different methods of concealing treats and so requires the dog to tryout different approaches to opening the the chambers. It is well made and the rubber base prevents the unit from sliding around on the floor. I bought it to use with our adult Toy Poodle cross Dachshunds. They love it. I would recommend it for puppies and adult small breeds to channel their energies away from unwanted destructive chewing. For supervised play only.

Hello, my dog does like this; loves it in fact and gets all excited when I get it ready for her before going to work. It is sturdy, well made. The rubber underneath means it grips on a lino floor which is a really good design feature. I do think it's a little pricey - £10 would be reasonable in my view. However for me the problem is it's too easy for my dog. When I first got it, I filled it with treats and gave it to my dog before sitting down to read the instructions. I hadn't even reached the bit that said to' start off with only one hidden treat, and let your dog see it before covering it up' , before my dog had already uncovered and worked out every single hiding place. Took about a minute. Not really what I was intending when I bought it as a way for her to stay entertained when I go out to work. So if your dog is a bit slow on the uptake, then I'd say this is the perfect gift for them. Otherwise, search for something more challenging. Read full review

I have chihuahuas and they absolutely love this activity game. My youngest chihuahua is very clever and he gets all the treats out in under a minute. However, my other chihuahuas take longer. Great to get them thinking and fun to watch too. I would recommend this product as it is sturdy and well made.

This product is well made and very sturdy. Should be able to withstand most dogs' chewing and scratching. Comes with very detailed instructions on how to use - in lots of languages. It has useful non slip base and would be easy to clean. The reason I would not recommend it even if it was less expensive is that it does not present much of a challenge as a puzzle game for dogs. The instructions recommend guiding and training your dog to use the activities little by little and for dogs to explore the toy at their own pace. Well my little terrier figured out how to open every door in 10 seconds flat. He did not need any introduction or training and the same went for my daughter's 10 week old puppy. Way too easy to be called a "puzzle" and unless you keep reloading with treats your dog would tire of this in only a couple of minutes. Shame because it seemed to be a good idea. Not fair to call it a waste of money as it is really well made, not flimsy but unless you have a very "dumb" doggy it's probably of little play value to your pet.Read full review

The toy is lovely , colourful and well made . However -my pup -16month old jug -got all the treats out in 3 minutes in his first attempt : 1 minute in his 2nd ....and just 30 seconds on his 3rd attempt so this toy is def not a mind trainer for him . I personally would not recommend this toy
