As a genuine Audi part this centre brake light is of excellent quality and fits perfectly. I watched a U-tube video on how to fit it, but struggled to get the old tailgate panel off the metal clips. Fortunately my local garage levered out one side and then gave it a strong pull and off it came!! They had obviously done it before. I thoroughly cleaned the old glue and gasket off the bodywork, stuck the new gasket onto the light, connected up the electrics and pushed it into place. Then I centred the tailgate panel clips and working from one side pushed and banged the panel into place. This part was a bit of trial and error, sometimes needing the panel to be pulled off and tried again. The brake light was fantastic as you would expect from Audi. Removing and replacing the tailgate panel was the difficult part of the job.Read full review

Its a genuine OE Audi part so should fit and connect in a Mk2 Audi TT without any problems. This item was quite well priced although fairly expensive for what it is, but Audi parts are expensive and from this source it was nearly £20 cheaper than buying from my local dealer. My 3 star rating was because it was what I expected from an OE part.

I just finished installing my purchase, I couldn't be happier! Quality OEM item, exactly the same as original. I was worried about removing the interior lining but with a few youtube tutorials and patiences, it pops off without too much hassle. 2 hidden screws in the trunk hand hold (Tork15), then pop off the truck latch cover and slowly work your way around, checking with a torch to locate the clips. These pull straight out from the interior trunk lid. Gently force required, plastic pry tool used sparingly. I had several of the small metal springs pop off but they are easily reset into the plastic trunk cover recesses. I did discover on the interior lining before I commenced removal, an oval shaped access port for the manual trunk release, this is best removed with a flat blade screw driver. There is a cable attached that can be detached, making the trunk lining easily removed completely once the lining retaining clips are all detached. Extend the spoiler. Locate the black plastic screws (2) 12 cm either side of the center off the now exposed internals trunk lid, then slowly pry with plastic tool (careful with your paint job) {I found it safest to attack from the under wing}with a plastic bicycle tyre lever I lifted the corner, slowly allowing the old adhesive to come loose. Takes some effort here! Safely detach the wiring loom and clean off all old adhesive with nail polish remover. Instal new light fitting and reinstall all of above in reverse!😉👍🏼. This product is the original ! Very happy!!Read full review

Genuine replacement fitted to a 2011 TT roadster as the original had failed. A bit fiddly to get the boot inner lining trim off (you might need some new clips to refit it but those are cheap and available on ebay).

Few mms variance from OEM fitting, having said that was very easy to fit, comes with new rubber seal with protective tapes, recommend when taking old one out, warm up around edge of light with hairdryer to soften old rubber seal, and use plastic trim tools not a metal screwdriver etc, see youtube on how to remove tailgate trim for access.attached pics include 1 pic with original light in place.( one with spoiler up )
