Good value tool for the price and works well!
Hi, there's not too much you can say about a tool like this, but the important points for me is that does what is expected of it and feels like it will last throughout the occasional use that it will get. I'm pleased to say that this tool meets both those requirements. I chose this particular tool because for the price it appears to be a comprehensive set with fittings for most vehicles. Having used the tool on my Citroen Picasso I can say it does what it is supposed to do very well, and the cost of the tool was more than recovered on this one job alone, compared to what a garage would charge. The threads on the two retraction tools are well made and I'm pretty sure they'll last for the odd occasions when I will use them. You don't get any instructions about how to use the tool (well I ... Caliper rewind set review
Having never undertaken a break pad replacement before I first watched youtube for advice, and they all recommended I buy a caliper rewind kit. So I did. These are great, there are many different plates that fit different calipers, come in a very neat box and at a very reasonable price. They have magnets to hold the fixing tool in place and the rewind spindles come in left and right handed threads. I only needed right for my mondeo. Excellent addition for a tool box
Purchased for use on a Volvo C30 2009 rear brakes. The Volvo requires an adapter with pins at 20mm centres - the kit includes such a part. Easy to use and performed admirably. For the average DIY user this kit is likely to last a long time - how frequently are you likely to change the brake pads on your car? Solid enough for DIY use.
