I've only used this once so far and that was on my gas grill. The can is quite small in diameter so only really suitable for smaller chickens, but it worked really well, being much more stable than just using a tin can on its own - the stand makes all the difference..!! This is my favourite way of cooking a chicken - put some wine in the can with some garlic and herbs and the chicken is really moist and tender. I also spray the outside of the chicken two or three times with Teriyaki sauce (Worcester sauce works well too) and it really is delicious. Just one hour on my gas grill and it is perfect. Also works fine in just a regular oven.

Great idea - this will be the 2nd gift I have bought for friends - ours is used every time, especially good in the Weber.

This beer can chicken holder is strong and well made but I was expecting to open a can and place it in the cylinder but the diameter of the cylinder is not large enough to hold a beer can but i took advantage of this by filling it with beer garlic and honey which made a lovely chicken with crispy skin all round I would definitely recommend this product to anyone wanting a delicious chicken cooked with crispy skin all round

Tried various versions of these chicken roasters and this is one of two that I would consider buying again. Unlike some others the chicken neck goes over the central tube which you can add any liquid you wish to keep it moist or add flavour. Didn't really fancy actually inserting a beer can into the chicken as some require and most of the ones with detachable prongs either rust or are too flimsy.
