Has there is no user manual with the dvd player..It is not possible for me to set it up..I am 77 so not very clued up in electronics..It was steam radio in my day...I cant download a manual from my PC as my printer is not working...So for now I am stuck...The owner should have downloaded a copy from his PC and sent it with the Dvd player

I bought this product to link up with a TV in a different room for my handicapped son, so that I could tape programmes for him from the on screen menu, and also put them onto disc if he really liked the particular episodes. Even though we have a sky box in another room, I didn`t want a multi-room set up. We already own a sony dvd recorder, but I found setting up & using this one far easier. The bonus is that even my son is able to scroll down the recorded menu on this. Once I have named the particular programmes, he can select which one he wants to watch, by reviewing a clip of the episode which shows on the left-hand side of the screen. Whilst I am aware this is not the most upto date Samsung DVD recorder, it is ideal for my purposes, and I am over the moon with my purchase.

After receiving my item I cleaned the laser reading heads an allowed to dry then put a new disc it ! And it works faultlessly, so am really pleased.
