The item is only suitable for one or two operations so not a tool to buy and keep, it nearly managed to do the slide pin bore on two calipers before failing, the three sprung arms locate in a PLASTIC cup and the pressure put on this plastic cup is such that it initially deforms and subsequently cracks. When it deforms it puts uneven pressure on the three arms so the abrasion is not uniform across the three abrasive pads, had this PLASTIC cup been made of metal then none of the issues would have occurred. The Item would not have lasted a very long time as the three abrasive pads do wear very quickly, however I would estimate you would be able to make 8-10 operations if the cup had been a metal of some sort. My summation is that a metal chamfered cup would have been to expensive to manufacture and retain the preferred price point. A shame as there are many parts of the unit that are metal.Read full review

Lasted one wheel cylinder! So I cleaned the internal bore of the 1.125 inch cylinder out before starting it wasn't bad but would benefit from a hone, lubricated the cylinder with fresh clean brake fluid as I did the stones fixed the tool in my variable speed battery drill and away I went. It soon became apparent on with drawing the tool from the cylinder that one of the honing stones was wearing very quickly much faster than the other two! Now I have to say that I would not expect any wear on the stones after several cylinders never mind a couple of minutes use . I have a Engine cylinder hone that over the last thirty years has been used on numerous engines and is as new. I managed to hone the wheel to an acceptable standard with just a sliver of stone left on one leg and the others about 3/4 to 1/2 worn, maybe I got a bad one but at this price point I should have known better. Buy cheap buy twice !!!!!Read full review

Quite well made and good value for money. However, it is claimed to be able to hone a cylinder of 3/4 ins bore, but no way will it do so, as it is much too big to enter the 3/4 ins bore wheel cylinders of my car. I decided to keep it, as it will probably be suitable for brake and clutch master cylinders, possibly also clutch slave cylinders, if needed. I am satisfied with the quality, but disappointed that it will not do the job I bought it for.

No little hone, using it for bicycle seat post to remove 0.1mm, perfect for the job.
