This is a very good bench, its as good as any at my local gym. The main steel beam is pretty substantial and it feels absolutely solid. It doesnt bend at all under load, it doesnt even creak. I tightened the pivot bolts quite tight to stiffen it up but not so much that i cant adjust it. It takes a few attempts with your spanner to get it just right. The back and seat pads are very thick and comfortable. The back pad is narrower at the top which makes benching really comfortable. My only criticism would be the assembly process. Mine contained two bolts that werent listed in the instructions and i had to figure out which ones they replaced (they were different sizes and double ended). It was well worth the effort though, its a quality bench with thick steel, good welds, pads and easy adjustment.Read full review

Excellent product which is easy to adjust to different inclines. Looks good and feels very solid. Was relatively easy to assemble on my own once I identified the correct spanners from my tool kit. Would definitely recommend.

I recently broke my bench while topping my PB on the bench press. I needed a new bench where I can push 100kg plus my body weight of just over 90kg and not have the bench bend and break. Description of this item seemed to fit the bill. Packaging of the delivered item was good and padded well inside. Putting the item together was fairly easy (just needed a wrench) and took about 40 mins (after double checking all bolts tight). I've now had it for a month and I am extremely happy with the quality. A***

This is amongst the cheapest of gym benches that I could find. the frame is very well made with neat welding and a good coat of paint. The seat and back board are sturdy enough but offer little comfort being short of padding compared to commercial benches. It was simple to put together and feels very safe when working with weights. However the gap between the seat and back when the bench is set up in the fully reclined position is large (85mm) and uncomfortable when lying down. I found a simple remedy to the comfort issue. Roll up a gym towel and place it in the gap between the seat and back when the bench is in the flat position. I happen to have additional foam rubber that can lay on top of the bench to provide additional comfort, but towels would probably do the same.

First of all, for the price this has to be the best FID bench I've found, and I spent several months deciding which FID bench to buy before taking the plunge and buying this one. A bonus was, it just so happened to be one of the cheapest also. It's incredibly strong! I was concerned about stability but I shouldn't have because it's very stable. I was also concerned about the size (length and height) as I am 6ft 8inches tall but, again I needn't have worried. The quick adjustment means you don't have to worry about incorporating many different exercises with varying degrees of incline in to your routine. It takes only a couple of seconds to adjust the back rest and only a few seconds more to adjust the seat, if necessary. The padding is very comfortable and thick and feels like it will last a lifetime. Secondly, the main point of this review was so I could comment on the apparent "issues" people have experienced when trying to put this flat-pack kit together. I read a lot of reviews about this bench and a lot said it was hard to assemble due to poor instructions and pieces left over that you don't need, which further added to the confusion from poor instructions. Either the suppliers have drastically improved this kit or people are talking absolute rubbish! If you've ever put even the most basic piece of Ikea'esque, flat-pack furniture together then this bench is not a challenge to assemble at all. Yes, there is an extra bolt left over at the end (one bolt!) which is because one component comes with the bolt already fitted. I can imagine that some of the components are manufactured in different places and the kit is then put together before boxing. All that has happened here is they've pre-fitted one bolt to a particular component (I suspect due to health and safety as it's the bolt for part of the back rest adjustment) and the bag of bolts for the rest of the kit just hasn't been altered, yet. All the talk about there being extra parts and confusing instructions, and one review I read even said the instructions aren't in English, as if you need to read anything to follow simple diagrams and follow numbers, are just inept comments from inept people who can't follow simple instructions. In fact, if you ever had a basic set of Lego as a child you'll find this a 'walk in the park' by comparison.Read full review
