I use this lap top daily for years now as my daily ultra portable programming unit - used on construction sites and commercial sites for programming lighting, hvac system and control systems. On batteries for hours and I NEVER turn this thing off... just fold it up end of day and either charge in my truck or at home for next day. Only reason I am writing a review is that instead of the normal 10 hours + of charge time I now get about 3-4 max so I ordered a new 9 cell battery. I installed a ~500GB Samson SSD hard drive (upgraded about 2 years ago) and 8 GB of memory (when new). I have dropped it off ladders, pulled it countless times off makeshift tables -- it has been rained on and generally beat up and still works and runs perfect... Extended battery makes a good grip while running around. CONs: wifi has always been flaky for awhile -- maybe because I have over a 1000 SSID profiles stored. But sometimes connecting will take awhile. It is not a gaming system. If I got a great deal on one -- I might consider upgrading to the new Lenova x250 but not in a rush,Read full review

This is possibly the worst laptop I have ever used in my life. It has slow wi-fi connection, inconvenient speaker placement, ugly design and terrible battery power. I bought this product expecting a reasonably fast laptop that was portable and easy to carry. It is not any of these things and instead is extremely dense for its size and weighted poorly. This laptop compares to the most archaic and ancient technology known to man and I greatly regret my purchase. If I could, I would give this 1/2 of a star, the only redeeming factor is that it is small enough for me to throw out my window. Do not waste your time and money trying to make this laptop work!
I bought this notebook/netbook originally for my son in the military (a Navy Corpsman) because he wanted something lighter than his T400. Once I received it and loaded Office and some photo software (he wanted to manage and process his Afghanistan pictures)I realized that I wanted one for myself. I gave him his x120e and immediately bought one for myself. My x120e now replaces my T400 as my preferred traveling laptop. This little gem meets 100% of my computing and multimedia needs while on the road.
Great for web browsing & watching videos. Weighing less than 3 lbs is a plus.
