It is a bit time consuming to load the negs and direct them into the slot - was so fiddly that I ended up just feeding the negs in by hand - which wasn't ideal. The software is easy to use. The quality is OK but there is no adjustment for anything whilst you are doing it. It think the later version lets you adjust brightness and something else, but with this one it has to be done post scan. For more special photos I use my Epson photo scanner which has digital ice technology but the ION is OK for non special photos

I bought this scanner to convert my collection of 35mm slides to digital. I had already tried two other brands and found they war not compatible with my Mac. This product claims PC and Mac compatibility. Despite a significant amount of help/support from manufacturer's after sales people and even more from Applecare, it was not possible to get the scanner to work. Even another Mac computer was tried. Likes, dislikes and comparisons cannot be stated or made as the machine did not work with Mac. It will work with a Windows PC
only good for windows xp or vista but with which updates steer well clear unless you a computer expert in your family.

Brought this product to scann some film to which have had to print digitally and do some retouching. I think the product is easy to use but was disapointed with the resolution quolity of the images. Havent used any other products like ths so i feel it was a great buy.
This does the job but the results are not very good at all, very poor pictures.......if I had got it from a shop new,I would have took it back!
