I wrote a review for this item before - wonder what happened? It does just what is expected; time dial is divided into sufficiently small segments to ensure lamp (which is what I use it for) switches on and off pretty close to actual time. Have used digital timers in the past, but these have always developed faults along the way. Very happy with this. It's reasonably sturdy and good value; have paid almost double for similar timers in the past.

The timer mechanism was not working on the plug I received. I had just been through a traumatic house move and as this was a low value item I couldn't be bothered with sending it back - just threw it in the bin!

It does the job but has a constant whining noise which is annoying. Personally I'm going to invest in a digital one which I'm hoping will cure that frustrating noise. Apart from that it does what it's supposed to.
