Much better than a previous battery operated hedge trimmer from a different brand! Purchased this after purchasing a Greenworks mower and strimmer/bushcutter, which are also great purchase. Not cords and no petrol (or struggling to start) any more. Batteries are perhaps a little expensive, but last pretty well - did 10m hedge all round, then more in the garden and trimmed down some nettles etc. at the side of the house to clear a public footpath all one a single charge of 2AH battery. Mower chews through the battery quicker, but we have 2, or you can also get a 4AH - as the batteries can be used across all tools it is not so bad (unless you really want to use them all at the same time).

High quality product, the cutting blades are very sharp & give an excellent cut. The swivel feature that allows the blade to be rotated makes vertical cuts very easy. Batteries are expensive.

Already had Greenworks Chain Saw and Strimmer - could use batteries from these. Hedge trimmer seemed a bit slow compared to previous corded trimmer - but this baby cuts really well. One 2ah battery lasted for cutting most of an 8 foot high, 20 yard long laurel hedge on both sides - and without the risk of cutting through a cable !! Feels quite light. Well worth the outlay.

This is the second greenworks item we have bought this week and still no faults. I used this hedge trimmer after making sure the batterys were fully charged on a couple of fur bushes and it cut through ever green like butter on toast so at the moment we would highly recommend greenworks tools as you get great tools at a great price with batterys lasting a very good time

I recently bought a Greenworks battery lawn mower, so decided to look for a compatible hedge trimmer This one matched the batteries of the lawn mower, so was the obvious choice It is light to use and cuts surprisingly well It's good enough to use as a trimmer, but not for significantly cutting the hedge back - that's to be expected, as if you need to cut back a hedge, then you'll need something more powerful I use both a petrol hedge cutter and electric chainsaw when I need to cut our hedges back, but for just trimming the shoots, the battery model works fine
