If you're an arachnophobe or allergic to wasps, on a budget and have a sudden (and ideally short-term) need to open the windows go for it. It works but it's cheap and that shows in the quality - mine had two big holes in it - but after trimming to fit the window that wasn't an issue as the damaged parts were at the edges and easy enough to cut off. The Velcro that holds it to the window, weirdly, is only the hook side, no felt, so it sticks directly onto the net. It holds well enough the first couple of times but it's kind of fiddly afterwards, it bunches up and doesn't line up properly. The strip peeled off after two days and I had to put it back up again (not sure how many times that'll work before the glue is ruined) but pretty sure that was my own fault for not cleaning the window enough before I put it up in the first place. The net (aforementioned holes aside) is actually fairly decent, it's (I assume) some kind of nylon or polyester, honeycomb pattern with small holes (about 2mm). Easy to trim to size, should be easy enough to wash judging by the feel of it. If you are buying it and you can afford a few extra £ I'd recommend buying a few meters of decent Velcro tape to go with it.Read full review

Seems to be working ok but..... the image and description is way off.the image gives the impression that there is a border of velcro around the outer of the mesh.this is totally false.you get a line of velcro.the hook section.then the mesh sticks to the strip.there is noway that there is a birder around the.in any way shape or form.

The netting is rubbish, it doesn't come with enough sticky tape I had to buy more (a lot more) and it doesn't stick very well at all, tried it on my kitchen window so I could open it and cats couldn't get out but struggled so much to put it up that it was pointless, I'm just glad it didn't cost a lot, back to the drawing board,

I bought this to get rid of annoying insect and as it was a hot summer and I live in a second floor flat close to the roof, which makes it very unbearable, I thought I'd see how they went .Great for flies and wasps but midges can get in, if like me I never thought and left the window open and a light on. They were so good I, in fact, bought two, one to try and as soon as I used it I bought the other. Great price too.
