I wish I had bought one sooner, it is marvellous. It heats the oil so quickly, and cooks the same way. All I can say, for the money it is wonderful.

First the danger. The chip basket handle is badly designed so that it does not stay clipped into its normal position. When you slide it down into the fryer the prongs of the handle tend to squeeze together so that the basket becomes detached and uncontrollable. So, you can't jiggle the basket about during frying and when you try to lift it out at the end, the basket flops around and partially turns over dripping hot oil all over the place. You can't tip the contents out cleanly because the basket is not attached firmly to the handle. It is described as 1 litre. I don't know what that is supposed to refer to but the basket capacity is less than 0.7litres - barely enough for one decent helping of chips and not helped by being round. The oil capacity to the MAX mark is 0.86litres. I used it once, then immediately ordered a similar 1 litre one from Team International which is what I had before. It is not much bigger externally but it is square and the basket capacity is double at 1.3litres plus the handle design is secure. Read full review

Good priced single small fryer for one of jobs features great simple temp dial is all you require with ready light. I like it so I bought two one for non smellys like chips, the other for fish etc that requires more oil refreshing. Overall a good unit for the price & compact enough to fit in somewhere along with other appliances.
