The build quality, tone, and playability of this D Jr exceeded my expectations. The neck feels great and the sound that comes out of the sound hole has that signature Martin bottom end. It even sounds good plugged in. My only complaint is the satin finish, a guitar of this quality should have a gloss top at least. Also, I'd recommend opting for the hardshell case, which is a bit overpriced ($169), but the included gig bag feels inadequate for an all solid woods guitar. All in all this is a terrific little box from Martin and it blows other travel guitars out of the water, in my opinion.

This is a great travel guitar. The playability is very good and the sound for a small acoustic guitar is unbelievable. It sounds very good electrified. Well worth the money. The only down side is that the battery is hard to replace and it's too bad that it does not come with a hard case.

A excellent smaller guitar with all solid tone woods. Made in Mexico, but executed and finished to Martin's standard. A real joy, a true value and a wonderful addition to the collection.
