Bought this as a step up from a compact camera, but not wanting anything too complicated. Menus are easy to use, quality is excellent and there are plenty of options available. Sturdy but lightweight and not too bulky. Well worth the money.

bought as an upgrade to a similar product,light and easy to use ,not yet fuuly upto speed with all its features yet,but have been using it at the Ilse of Man TT and been pleased with the results,only downside for me is the lack of viewfinder
I was a little bit disappointed with the results of my compact digital camera especially when attending events where the subjects were in motion so to speak. One of my daughters recommended I get myself a Bridge camera. I found that Nikon Bridge camera's were being offered on ebay by a camera dealer in Cardiff at a reasonable price considering that they were reconditioned. The camera arrived safely and quickly looking as good as new. I have been to a couple of weddings and events involving my very active grandchildren and have had some great shots individually and also using the 'sports' facility. It is a pleasure to use and I can now capture shots that with the compact I would have missed.
Great camera for a beginner although needs playing with a little bit as pictures come up a bit blurry on the 'automatic' mode despite the image stabilisation.
