I bought this as I wanted a neater, wireless system to replace a mini stereo with wired speakers and I also wanted a system that could use wifi as well as Bluetooth. All I wanted was to be able to play CDs or listen to the radio on the stereo in the living room and listen on a portable speaker in any room. The AllPlay system is definitely a great way to do that. The sound quality is good but not as good as a system with separate speakers. It took a bit of setting up but now I can control it from my phone or the remote control easily. Streaming from your phone or listening to internet radio are also easy. If you're thinking of pairing it with a portable speaker or two, it's worth shelling out on the AllPlay portable speaker, as the software will automatically find it and pair them. Saves a lot of hassle and the sound quality is excellent, though it does have to be plugged into the mains.Read full review

I brought the Panasonic SC-ALL5CD as part of a connected home music system along with a SC-ALL5. Overall it is a good system with good to great sound quality for a all-in-one stereo system. Its advantage is that you can connect nearly any device you want and has a CD player for being able to play your CD's without having to copy them to digital. The integration of the system as part of the Allplay system is great with the SC-ALL5 component I bought is good, allowing music to be sent to anywhere in the house. Complimentary to this is the fact you can access any radio station via internet radio players on your mobile device from anywhere in the world and use programs like Spotify. The only issue is the actual program you use to do all of this. It is not intuitive making it hard to understand initially. Additionally, it has bugs and problems, like forgetting the devices you have connected to and some preferences you have chosen, such as the changes to colour preferences for speaker colours. Additionally, making playlists from your own music library is not great as it is not possible to chose a single song from an album you are listening to and add it to a playlist. One other minor issue is not bing able to power off your system from your mobile when you have decided to stop listening to something. You have to close the program by either force close or program close with the program selection via tab options. and then just wait for the system to power down as part of the power save option! This is power wasteful! This needs improving! The overall impression is a good system, but some small improvements to the program interface would create a great system.Read full review

Ideal for my wife ( a technifobe ) to play her CD's on. Other higher tech features work well.

Set up a bit tricky but once you are there it is good. Buttons on side hard to see but remote covers it all except blue tooth button.
