Seems to work ok, only jibe, the usb lead is a bit short but then I suppose it`s meant to be. Fine with a laptop as the unit can rest next to it but with my PC it sort of hangs in the air if I don`t rest it on a table.

Worked on day 1 to rip CD's however it soon stopped working very soon. CD's rarely ripped properly on 1st attempt, needed several tries to get it to work. It also did not pick up the CD information so that needed to be manually added after ripping the CD. The device did not burn cd's properly, it would burn the 1st 6 tracks and fail on the rest. The 1st 6 burned were jumpy on playback in a different player. Not a great device - very temperamental. Tried it with different laptops and got the same result everytime. The 'free' protective pouch it is supplied with is also too small for the device! I would not recommend, waste of time and money.

Arrived promptly. As described, came with leather pouch. Struggled to get drive into pouch. Even harder to get it out again. The case is a VERY neat fit. Unit cannot be used whilst in the protective case. Now the DVD Drive itself. The cable is far too short, you need a desk to be able to use it. I have a Desktop on my desk. with a DVD Drive in it. The laptop goes on my lap. I had to plug the drive in and use the drive as a mouse-mat. Still, I must remember to carry an extension. The drive door stuck every time I tried to open it, whether or not it had a disk in. Once you get a disk in, the drive performed all right. I have only used it a couple of times so far, but it seems OK to use. If only the door opened first time every time. The case is a bit of a bonus, so I'll put up with it, after some modification. I wasn't sure what to expect from a DVD RW drive at this price, but I was pleasantly surprised. It arrived well packed and looks very good quality. Just plugged it in and it worked straight away (used on a windows 10 o/s). It was bought to be used with a new laptop and we haven't used it very much to date, but it does seem a bargain and I would recommend it.

A handy drive if your laptop doesn't have a built in DVD drive. Being USB 3 allows it to be connected using just the supplied cable rather than needing the two cables my previous writer required. A little larger than expected but the build quality appears to be OK so overall I am pretty happy with the device.
