All the other activities are great except the crystal tree was far from what the picture promises. I don't think there is even 1/10th of the necessary amount of the crystal forming substance, the material the tree is made of doesn't properly "wet". Otherwise all else is good, the digging is really fun as is the volcano, to improve the volcano effect you could add a bit of Fairy and lemon juice to the reaction, but beware of overflowing (but it is fun). Overall I'd recommend the product even if the crystal tree is defective. I'll add an image of how the tree ended up in the end.

For the price it's good,especially for a little project with younger children. However, it didn't keep my 10 year old very entertained. The tornado didn't work well as the dye made the water too dark to see what was happening inside the bottle & the dye went everywhere & will not come off hands.

One of the better science kits out there, all that one needs is in the box which is rare. Some of the experiments don't work as well as I had hoped, though the educational learning to why elements react in different ways counteracts that. Overall recommended for young budding scientists, with adult supervision.
