    A classic early Joni Mitchell album recorded in 1976

    A friend had lent me this album on tape many years ago - I didn't think too much about it at the time, but since then, its become one of my all time favourite albums, hence my reason for purchasing a CD version off ebay. The entire album takes you on a journey - an american road journey during the 70's with Joni's acute observations of love, life, and feelings of alienation from the passing cities and people. The entire album has a very unique dreamlike sound, is well produced and features some top musicians - especially the late Jaco Pastorius on bass. This album is so distinctive that I don't think Joni has ever matched it since. I feel that the CD version loses some of the original analogue "warmth" of the original recording, so you may want to EQ up the bottom end, but other than ...
