We bought this item as we had one of the older versions when our older children were babies. This new one is a total waste of money. It doesn't lay flat enough so our baby slides down in it, the pillow isn't detachable and pushes our babies head forward, it moves around in the bath which is definitely not ideal. The material is too tight which means our baby falls to the side. Once she has slid down on it if she kicks it tips forward and almost catapults her forward into the bath. As it sits really high up you also have to fill the bath way past what I would consider a safe level of water. Would not recommend this item to anyone with a newborn or an older baby who isn't quite ready for a bath ring.
