I wanted a fishing set to help stimulate my grandsons obsession with wanting to fish. Two rods both the same so we had the same chances. Plenty of bits to explain and explore. Great fun and all we needed was bait and my preference a few of the small rubber band for the floats and some slightly smaller hooks than those supplied. It all kept and 8 year old fidget-b*m, plus a seventy year old grandad amused for 4 hours at the first sitting and more trips planned. Good quality for the money.

The box inside that keeps everything safe was poor and damaged...The 1st time I set it all up put the reel on and the metal latch bail-arm, that releases the line broke clean off completely and my daughter who is 11 was very upset indeed so she had to use my rod instead. Would never buy cheap and poor products again but I guess if you buy cheap you get crap products I suppose.

This appears good value but is really very toy like and not robust enough for regular and frequent use. It does however provide a good basic start point for novice users.

Bought this knowing it wouldn’t be great. Took it on holiday to teach my kids how to fish. My 8 year old daughter cast out twice and the rod snapped. Waste of money.

Purchased for my 2 youngest boys for when we go camping as space is at a premium and the whole box is around the size of 2 cereal boxes laid end to end so the space saving is obvious over full size rods and tackle bags . No bells and whistles though , plain and cheap tackle to get them fishing . The contents are the cheapest of the cheap but functional and a good assortment is included to get you in the water . Well worth the money , especially when there's enough for 2 .
