I have just been camping for 2 x days in the North Yorkshire Moors - Golden Square Camping - Helmsley, we arrived on Tuesday 8th August - 1 months rain in 1 x day and i mean heavy rain. Myself and my wife more than me got soaked erecting our Skandika Larvik4 Dome Tent, the rain never stopped for 24 hours. It took longer than normal putting the tent up as the inner tent had rain on it so made the tent heavy to hang on to the fiberglass poles, it took us aprox 1 x hour as we are first time campers. After erecting the tent we noticed a little rain had got in to the inner tent whilst erecting in the heavy rain, we sponged this up got the flysheet on. The flysheet as a 3000mm Hydro Head and as well as the heavy rain there was a strongish wind we thought the tent was going to break free from the pegs. To our amazement the tent was stable and we were nice and dry inside the tent. The next day was much better nice and sunny. Skandika Larvik 4 is a nice little dome tent for 2 people with airbeds and sleeping bags. ideal for weekend camping / festivals.Read full review

It might be difficult to squeeze 4 adults into the Larvik, but other than that, it's a good starter tent. It has certainly stood up to this year's storms.

In recent use in high winds out dud the bigger and more expensive tents on the sight. Would suggest that it is only suitable for two in comfort but more if you are just hiking.
