This little, lightweight allowed me to down a 20 ft with a 4" girth in minutes. In 30 minutes it was in three foot lengths and all the branches were cut to disposable lenghts also. The chain jumped off but was easily repaired and functional for the rest of the project. I had not checked the chain tension before operating. I only added bar oil before the first cut. It seems to auto-oil once the oil tank is filled. I like it! Looking forward to trimming the long needle pine in my front yard. I forgot to mentioned the battery was still strong for the whole tree mentioned above.

This chain saw is good for smaller branches but I wouldn't try it on anything over 3-4 inches. Maybe I need to practice with it more but it seems that the chain gets slack often and has to be adjusted accordingly. It takes some getting used to and is much easier to control without the added extension pole. With the extension pole attached I find it impossible to use the shoulder strap that comes with it. All in all I found good use for the tool and I'm not sorry I bought it.

I was leery about an 18 volt battery, but I wear out before it runs down (70 years old). I have used it for about 4 hours so far and it has cut everything I have put it on ( up to 3 inches). I will recommend this to everyone. Just keep the chain adjusted and fill it up with bar chain oil and it will do the small jobs with ease. Just a great little pole saw!!!!!!!!

Very nice Pole Saw. Plenty of power from the 18V batteries. Very handy that there is a 3 foot extension pole that can be added. Handy hook on the bottom side for grabbing branches. Highly recommend.

I bought this thinking that it came with a battery, so read the complete description. I already had one Ryobi product that uses an 18 volt battery so I was able to use it in spite of the fact that NO BATTERY WAS INCLUDED. The upside is that it has plenty of power and last longer than I expected.
