I was looking for a small coffee maker I could use away from the kitchen and this Dualit coffee maker seemed perfect. It's very small - about the same size as a standard kettle - and has no consumables (filters). It is very easy to setup. For those who have not used a percolator before: Add water, place the tube onto the element the right way up, put coffee in the basket, place the basket in, put the top on the basket, then put the top on the coffee maker. Plug in and wait for the light to turn green. The coffee this machine makes comes out piping hot (unlike most methods of making coffee) and is fairly strong for my tastes. It tastes similar to coffee from a drip filter machine but it does not burn the coffee, which can happen with drip filter machines. It is slightly weaker than coffee made with a cafetiere so if you are used to making coffee that way you might want to use more grounds than indicated on the basket. This machine has an automatic shutoff (the light goes orange- green) and will keep the coffee hot for as long as you want while it is plugged in. The only downside here is there is no power switch so if you want to store the percolator on the base you need to unplug the base from the wall when you are finished. A full cycle (the 10 cup mark) takes about 10 minutes and you get a generous amount - enough for 4 proper mugs. You will find a small amount of grounds in your coffee cup. To minimise this pour slowly and do not pour the final few drops of coffee from the machine. Using a coarser ground of coffee can help too (use the kind designed for cafetiere, not espresso grind!). You can also buy an optional paper filter if you want to prevent grounds ending up in your coffee. One last thing: There are reports of the clear knob on the lid breaking. I don't believe it will break if you treat the machine carefully. However I have heard from others that Dualit will post you a replacement without any fuss if you contact them! Overall I am very pleased with this product and I would recommend it to others.Read full review
Not that many electric percolators on the market and this one received good feedback when I did some research. Very pleased with the purchase, obviously resulting coffee depends on type of coffee and quantity used. Sadly Dualit no longer produce this item.

Excellent product! Coffee is the original tr@ditional good tasting coffee most people have forgotten about. Lid is a bit poor quality as glass bubble is plastic and heat has broken it already. I had to replace top knob but that’s okay when you consider the coffee it makes. It does need either an adapter for European plug or change plug to 220. Very fast brewing. Excellent tasting and all stainless which cleans well. Very attractive too in kitchen.

Was wanting something smaller and am not disappointed by its compactness and performance . Trendy to look at as well!! Ideal for 2/4 persons use.

I have had several coffee percolator pots, this is by far the best. It makes the classic sound too... Perfect coffee every time.
