Came promptly. All as promised. It fitted the post-2008 Franke sink (of course). Being a genuine replacement part, it will probably eventually fail the same way as my original, with the rubber seal going floppy and slowing up the draining even when the plug is raised to the upper position. Tip: Once you have bought this plug, clamp the rubber seal of your old plug to the metal strainer part (of your old plug!), using epoxy resin or similar. It will then drain quickly in the raised position BUT may not be 100% watertight in the down (closed) position.

The unit is ready for using and fits well however time will tell in use ,also i have tried to source spare seals for future use.

Good product, which seems to be the "real thing". Slight reservations with regards to the finish as it doesn't seem quite as good as the original unit. Having said that would not hesitate to recommend.

I have two Franke sinks one with older style strainer waste fitted 2003 still going strong never a problem. The sink with newer style waste fitted 2013 would leak due to the type of washer used hence the need for replacement unit.

We 'lost' our Franke strainer and tried to do without one for several weeks. It was a kitchen nightmare and we ended up clearing out 'bits' too big to go down the plug hole manually and making lots of mess. This strainer sits snugly in position and is easy to lift to the bin and empty.
