Well, to start off with, this is a very cheap, low-quality lens (made of plastic!), so don't expect sharp, bright and even pictures. It has a fixed aperture of f/8, and "zone" focussing marks like you'd see on a compact camera. It is of course manual focus, and you'll need to have your camera in full manual mode for it to work, and either have a hand-held light meter or guess the exposure. This may take some practice if you haven't done it before. The lens produces interesting, "lomo"-style results, with lots of vignetting and uneven exposure. With a focal length of 60mm, it's not quite wide enough for my tastes (as I have a cropped-sensor camera, it has a 90mm effective focal length) and is tricky to shoot "from the hip" for street photography. Obviously on a full-frame camera (or a 35mm film camera of course) it will be closer to a "normal" lens and more flexible. In anything other than bright sunlight I have to crank up the ISO, as the fixed f/8 aperture means very slow shutter speeds otherwise. Judging exposure can be tricky as well - I intend to fit a Dandelion chip to allow the camera to meter, however the chip will cost more than I paid for the lens! Those people who have more experience of this will obviously find it easier. Note that cameras from other makers (eg Canon) WILL meter through this lens, so it will not be a concern for owners of those cameras. Handling is excellent - the lens is tiny, almost a "pancake" at about 2cm deep, and very light. The only thing is to make sure you remove the lenscaps - the lens will mount with the rear one still in place! Focussing is fairly stiff (though I imagine this will vary from lens to lens), though slight inaccuracies shouldn't be a problem due to the f/8 aperture and the grungy images that result. I tend to use "zone focus" to pre-set the lens and shoot from the hip in any case. Overall, this lens is worth a shot if you want to create some interesting low-fi results, and at the price (I paid less than £10 including postage!) you can't really go wrong. And it's a much better option than wasting all that lovely medium-format film on a Holga or Lomo camera!Read full review
Everything I read about this lens states that it will give unsharp and strange effects, I mounted it to an old Nikon D70 body and took lots of photos in different lighting conditions and after downloading the images to my PC I found that the images were quite sharp and no noticable weird effects! Shooting with this lens is a bit of a pain as there is no auto focus or auto exposure, everything has to be done maually, and focusing isn't too easy because of the dark viewfinder image, it is stated that that the f stop is f8, but to be honest I would rate it at more like f16, however, it is a handy little lens and if you are OK with it's limitations it is fantastic value for money.

This is a very interesting lens! It is pretty much what it says. A Holga lens that mounts onto a Nikon. It does it's job. You really have to be shooting in bright places. Middle of the day is perfect. It's a tiny lens, so its great to have in the camera bag to quickly whip out. I like this lens. I'm not great at using it. But i like it. You can get some really fine pictures once you learn how to use it properly, I don't like the darkness of the viewfinder, you can't even see what you want to take a picture of. This product can't be compared to any others. It's a one off kinda thing. Great value for money. I got mine for about $15 and it does it's job. Tiny, compact and cheap. Gotta love that.
This is a great lens and excellent value. But it is a macro lens only, it takes excellent close -ups with very sharp pictures and high resolution. The infinity setting doesn't seem to work, if this is what you're looking for you'll be disappointed. Happy with the results. I use this lens on a Nikon D5200.

Like a toy his lens is full of oddity and aberrations, shadow and vignetting and gives incredible drama to every shot. Perfect for street photography or for portraits with something different.
