Great job for getting rid of old paperwork. Packaging could be better. Dented when arrived. Gave it a bang and knocked back into shape. No problems - no issues. Decent size. Watch out for people selling incinerators no bigger than a tin can. Looks same / similar in photo

Well Autumn is well apon us and the leaves are starting to fall in profusion, so its get the rake out and pile them up, but what to do with them once this task has been completed! Incinerator! yep that's just what I need, so out came the pennies jar and I purchased this model. I had looked at quite a few on the 'web' and being an engineer decided that the style I needed would have holes at the bottom, middle and top, it would be made of metal and have a lid, as I said this model fitted the bill to a 'T'. However I was not as pleased with the final product when it arrived, the metal, though galvanized and therefore 'rust' proof, isn't? There was already signs of deterioration when it arrived which is not a good sign, secondly the metal itself is quite flimsy for an item which is to take some abuse, even slightly pressing it with my knee put a dent into its side, rectified easily enough but still a worry. The lid with chimney, cut my fingers in at least 2 places, I say 2 as there was so much blood I wasn't sure if there were more or I had nicked an artery but wife sorted it out thankfully. Yes, the metal wasn't very well finished, it should have had a 'turned' edge, where they turn the metal onto itself giving it a 'rounded' finish, not all of this lid was. I burnt my first lot of branches and leaves a couple of weeks ago and became so frustrated with it as the fire kept going out, I did wonder why my neighbour, who has a very similar incinerator, used petrol to get his going, not something I would do nor should you. Eventually I gave up, waited until the following day and cleared the unit out. I have used it since, last weekend for doing the same job but used less wood this time which it seemed to cope with, the incinerator however got too hot for me to stand anywhere near it let alone top it up, but I suppose that's its job. I have since acquired an old oil drum, no not to start a West Indian Steel Band but to make into an incinerator to replace this one, it gets a damn sight hotter but it burns everything to a lovely ash which you can then put around your plants, they need potash for leaf and stem growth says me who knows bugger all about gardening but wife knows which puts me in my place well and truly. So there you are, you make a choice and rise or fall by it, this is OK for those smaller burning jobs but anything else go for a flame-thrower or something similar okRead full review

This is the 2nd bin iv'e had in 3 yrs. Ideal for burning just paper But if your like me burn everything in it even wood then it gets too hot glows bright red. I found if you empty the ash after use it lasts longer. Or it justs rusts away.

A useful sized incinerator, rather cheap and cheerful, but good value for the price. Rather thin metal, it will not las long under frequent use, but good for my needs

Easy to assemble, although screw holes were out of alignment and had to drill them slightly larger to enable legs to fit. Overall does the job ok
