I have used these cartridges many times. They give a very clear print and good true colour. I tried using a cheaper brand once (not original Canon) and they did not work properly in my printer so now I will only use the Canon ones. These sizes last a long time and carry on printing well after the ink low message comes up. Canon inks are among the best, but that is not saying much!
Do you remember using a typewriter? If you wanted a couple of copies of something, how long did it take? With ink-jet printers today, the quality is absolutely marvellous! But quality does not come cheap! The manufacturers seem to make-up for on the price of ink what they have given away on the price of the printer. Try this: when changing the ink cartridge, start a check sheet to see how many copies that you are getting per cartridge. For multiple copies, a print shop would be cheaper and better quality. What I would like to see is manufacturers being honest about the cost of prints at the time of purchasing the printer! Genuine = good
I have bought so called compatible cartridges for my Canon MP495 printer previously but when I installed them the printer doesn't recognise them and so they're a waste of money. This product is a genuine Canon cartridge though and was instantly recognised. It prints beautifully, no smudges etc. I will buy this again and again.
