Excellent kit for finish making your own tongs. Considering the cost of a single pair of tongs, and getting 5 pair for less than the cost of one completely finished pair, you can't go wrong with these. You are able to draw out the reins to length you prefer instead of getting whatever the individual making complete sets decides you should have. Can't say enough good about these. You will never regret getting these and finishing them yourself and then looking at the same pair of one with too short reins costing 20 or more dollars than what you paid for the 5. These tongs are awesome. They are especially good for a blacksmith that's just starting up. as they allow them to have multiple pairs of tongs at a fantastic price . With just a little work you can have a set of tongs worth several times what you have in them. I personally own most of Kens rapid and quick tongs and they are all of very high quality.

The best thing about these are affordability. The next best thing is to incorporate your own design into them.
