This battery was listed for use in many applications, but in my case it was needed for a key fob device attached to the car ignition key ring, so as to open and close a remote garage door. The battery that came with the door remote was a lesser known brand and had lasted about 2 years. This energizer battery is an ALKALINE battery, from a well known brand and I am expecting it to last longer. It was a true fit for the original and couldn't have fitted in the remote hand unit any better.
