I bought this because I have an older car with no AUX-IN socket on the stereo. Since buying it, I no longer need to waste time burning CDs to play in the car, I can just connect to this with my iPhone & play the music in my phone. I've stopped using my Sat Nav, because I can use my phone for that too & the audible directions come straight through my stereo. I haven't used the remote control yet, because it's easier to control the transmitter with the onboard buttons or via my iPhone. I had a few niggles trying to get it to connect via Bluetooth the first time, but after a bit of fiddling with the settings on my phone, it eventually connected & now it connects automatically as soon as I plug the transmitter into the cigarette lighter socket. The 2 USB sockets are very helpful. I can plug in my phone so it never runs out of battery whilst giving me directions, leaving a spare socket for my dash cam or a passenger to charge their device. The light up display is sufficient enough to see the details on the screen, but not imposing so as to distract during driving. The transmitter also acts as a handsfree device, so calls can be made safely & legally whilst driving. All in all, I'm very happy with this purchase.Read full review

Purchased 23/12. 24/01 already broken! Works great! Easy to use! Just gutted it's only last a month! I will order another and give it the benefit of the doubt but it's hard to leave a great review for an item that's last a month.

This actually does all the things it claims well. It has one USB port powerful enough to keep an iPad charging in use, and is basically as good as your built-in FM radio and sound system. It does seem to remember several devices, and is not too difficult to get it to switch between. It tries to connect to the last device used when powered up. Although I generally don't take calls when driving (as a professional researcher I assure you it is dangerous, even with hands free), I have occasionally done so, and it works well enough. The caller is clearly heard, and they seem to hear you as long as you in front of the device. Rather than a series of bleeps, when connected a cultured female Chinese voice (in English) announces first that Bluetooth is available, and then that a connection has been made. I'd like to meet her for a cup of coffee some day for casual conversation. It also will read files off a memory stick inserted. It is not fixed to a single FM frequency and can be tuned to a dead spot in the upper FM range. It also has a previous and next track function, and a pause function. Although inexpensive it gets the job done, and travels well for use in rental cars, which still do not all have Bluetooth.Read full review

Variety of uses, Bluetooth phone companion, routed through the cars speakers. MP3 player which plays audio through Bluetooth, SD card or USB pen drive. Audio cable input too. Charge your phone through USB port too. What more do you expect for the price. Oh yes and a remote control pad with more features on!
