I originally bought a Sony BD470 3D Player to go with my LG TV. Turned out to be a mistake. A friend bought an LG and playback of the same Blu-ray on his (3d and normal) seemed to be far smoother. However, the Sony had a major limitation - it would only play back external drives of 4gb or less. Considering that a decent MKV exceeds that size for one file alone, it made that feature useless. Also, any MKV stored on my Synology NAS on my home network, couldn't be played. So the major decision in changing to this brand was to a) get smoother playback (it's great); b) to enable me to plug in an external drive and access content on it (which this does); and c) to see if it would play any additional content from my NAS (it plays everything). All in all, an excellent buy.
Fantastic player, simple menues excellent set of features and great picture and sound quality. I bought this to pay files from work off a hard drve, and also DVD rw s from work of Programmes to check before broadcast. I strongly recommend this Device.

Tidy, good quality blu ray player. Integrates nicely with LG TVs (including remote functions). No complaints. TIP: Use a decent quality HDMI cable - an old cable I tried first kept powering off the player every 10-15 minutes - it took me ages to find the cause was simply a poor cable.
