This is our second Bistro Campingaz Portable stove which we bought for guests to use in our off-grid holiday let cabin. The original one has been used for around 180 days and guests have used it everyday at least once, some have cooked meals on it not just boiled the kettle. As it was starting to look a little burnt around the area where the flame touches (perhaps because it’s been used on full power all the time?) we’ve just bought another one to replace it, which at around £15 doesn’t break the bank. Reason for replacing the old one is purely aesthetic.

poor quality materials let this down badly. SHAME ON YOU GAZ my old one( 10 yrs ) is far superior and the pot stand inverts to save space. unlike this new crappy thing made of pressed tin and held in place with twisted flimsy tails. Bad bad bad.

This stove makes for a very good standby in stormy weather when there are power cuts. I find its safe and sturdy construction a real plus when my only other alternative is my ancient Primus. This stove heats soup and boils water really well and quickly with no worries. The CP250 gas canisters seem to last for ages. Glad I bought one and some extra gas too.
