It comes with a diamond stylus and metal needle, good news. I'd recommend not using the built in speakers as they have little bass to minimise feedback. The sound is ok though. Using earphones things improve but better still is the RCA out. I listen to 50s 60s & 70s field recordings of US steam trains and I like a natural sound so with a phono pre amp and monitoring headphones I get the best result for me out of this little turn table's RCA output. I've not had any issues with records skipping and many of my records are considered audiophile pressings of at least 35 years old. Both 33s and 45s (hey I do own some music) are played at the correct speed. I went for the red colour because this was the cheapest at 22 quid!! It looks nice. It wont get you anywhere with the audiophile crowd but who cares this thing isn't going to be bought by middle aged audio enthusiasts like me? I did buy it, don't listen to the so called experts listen to your music and enjoy it.Read full review

I was sceptical at the time of purchase as it seemed good value for money. On using it I was suprised how well it sounded even with the volume turned right up- no rattling etc. It is very simple to use and looks very nice too. Its compact and does the job it is meant to- for example, The 33 LPs over lap the turnable ,yet no distortion or waving was noticed. Recommend the red colour but I bet the others are as good.
