Great product and easy to fit. Borrowed a canon100-400 for British moto gp that had canon ring. Couldn't see any difference except the name. If your not certain about buying one worry not it is perfect for the lens.

You get what you pay for
I purchased this as an alternative to the highly priced Canon version but it really is a case of 'you get what you pay for' The build quality is so poor I wouldn't trust it to support a cheap lens let alone the expensive lens it was designed for, will definitely be saving up for the Canon version, expensive but at least I know the quality will be top notch and my expensive lens will be properly supported. Poor fit
This would only fit if I removed one of the felt tapes. It never feels securely locked and has opened up a couple of times. I would never trust this mounted to as tripod.

plastic construction, lightwieght !!
As they say "you get what you pay for" very lightwieght construction (plastic) not sure about trusting this with my expensive lenses not to mention my camera, if it snaps, am in big trouble !!! no mention of its constuction in listing, assumed it would be metal, my error. but on the good side VERY fast delivery thanks.
