I introduced this type of coffee pot to my Dad..( he had a Mr. Coffee), he was amazed at the taste difference...(he's 81 and LOVES his coffee !) I bought him this one, and I was amazed at how pretty and shiny it was ! I use an old Westinghouse, (antique, and he drinks decaf, thus 2 coffee pots. This one, though is perfect, brews great, relatively quiet, doesn't take long at all. Just a tip: I have a ton of regular coffee filters, so I just poke a small hole in the middle and fit it to the thingamajig...works perfect.

I love everything about this item. Had one like it for years that finally died on me. Could not find another one at the local stores and finally settled on a real expensive coffee maker that in no way compared to my "departed friend". What I like most about the electric perk brewer is that I like real hot coffee, not just barely warm, and this brewer gets my coffee hot!. Very easy to clean, takes up little space and the price is right. ONE NOTATION: be sure to use the regular round coffee filters. Fold in four sections and snip off at the point with scissors and ENJOY. Mary Poynter-Batt

Presto 12 cup coffee percolator works as intended, which is great smooth coffee every time. You can determine how strong you like your coffee based on the amount of ground coffee to water. Not too large or too heavy. Who knows how long this product will last...hopefully many years. I would recommend this product.

This coffee pot reminds me of the one I bought when I was first married, many years ago. It brews a great cup of coffee and does it quickly. A couple drawbacks: The pot cannot be immersed so washing takes a little time. The insides and lid are dishwasher safe but I’ve been just washing all of it by hand. One tip: The manual suggests using a wrap around coffee filter which I had never heard of before I bought this and there were a couple samples in the package so I tried them. They work great but it’s quite a task to put one in the basket, then put the coffee in and fold in all sides putting the little holes that are in the corners of the filter over the stem then tucking in the sides of the filter. I priced these filters and they are also a little spendy. I ended up buying plain generic filters and putting a hole in the bottom to go through the stem in the pot and they are working great. (I tried the cone filters and they didn’t work well. There were grounds in the bottom of my cup.) I’m not disappointed in this coffee pot! I just needed to figure out what worked the best for me!Read full review
